BNP Paribas Continues To Strengthen Asian Team

BNP Paribas Investment Partners announced a new head of the Asian investment solutions arm.

BNP Paribas Investment Partners, the asset management business of BNP Paribas Group, has announced a new head of the Asian investment solutions arm to focus on institutional clients, distributors and wealth management clients.

Pieter Oyens assumes the role of head of Asia-Pacific Investment Specialists, bringing with him 10 years of industry experience. Based in Hong Kong, he leads a team of investment specialists liaising between Asian investment centres, customer relationship managers and global clients. Prior to BNPP IP, Oyens was a Hong Kong-based managing director at Harvest Global Investments.

The hire follows two key appointments at BNP Paribas in the region in the last two weeks, including Helene Li as managing director, head of strategic planning, brand communications for Asia-Pacific under the wealth management arm and TF Cheng as head of sales for Asia-Pacific, a newly-created role.
