An established UK family creates a global platform combining institutional expertise, AI-Native operating model, and access to global investment opportunities, this publication can report.
Stonegate
Capital has announced the launch of a family office in Dubai.
Based in the Dubai World Trade Centre, it has been created
to coordinate and advance the “substantial global financial,
investment and strategic interests of an established UK-based
family.”
The family office will have AI embedded across its operating
infrastructure and investment processes, Stonegate Capital said
in a statement.
The launch of such an organisation comes at a time when wealth
managers, family offices, banks and other firms working with high
net worth and ultra-HNW clients continue to set up operations,
obtain licences and add to teams. Last month, this news
service examined
the forces shaping the Gulf region wealth market, finding a
mood of cautious optimism for the medium term.
This year, Stonegate Capital helped the family complete
transactions in the UK and Saudi Arabia and it is coordinating
and evaluating a broad pipeline of potential transactions across
private markets, real assets and growth businesses.
The identity of the family involved is not disclosed.
AI is a feature of Stonegate Capital from inception rather than
being added to a legacy model. AI-enabled systems will support
the team in identifying opportunities, research, financial
modelling, due diligence, scenario analysis, portfolio oversight,
risk monitoring, consolidated reporting and operational
workflows, it said.
Stonegate Capital acts as the central coordinator of the family's
financial and strategic affairs. Its mandate includes investment
analysis and oversight, coordinating the overall investment
management framework, consolidated reporting, family governance,
banking coordination, succession and legacy planning,
philanthropy, administrative support and coordinating legal,
tax and structuring matters with appropriately qualified
professional advisors.
The organisation has a team of seven, with plans to grow to
11 by the end of 2026.
For public-market portfolios, Stonegate Capital helps the family
define investment objectives and the asset-allocation framework,
assess proposals from financial institutions, select and review
asset managers and banking partners, manage risk and monitor
performance across institutions. On the private-market side, the
organisation supports origination, analysis and commercial
assessment, due diligence, structuring coordination and ongoing
monitoring.
The group said it has built a leadership team from financial
institutions and prominent family offices and will announce
leadership appointments in the coming days.
“The launch represents a significant long-term commitment to the
United Arab Emirates and reflects the founding family's
confidence in Dubai as a leading international centre for private
capital, enterprise, technology and investment,” Stonegate
Capital said. “Stonegate Capital intends to develop multi-decade
relationships with other family offices, entrepreneurs,
investment managers, financial institutions and strategic
partners across the UAE, the wider MENA region and key
international markets.”
