Legal & General Investments, the UK-based asset manager, has beefed up its sales team with the hire of Liz Adnitt as senior investment sales manager.

Adnitt joins from Gemini Investment Management, where she worked as investment sales director. Earlier in her career, she worked for LV Asset Management, SVM Asset Management, Jupiter Unit Trust Managers, Insight Investment and JP Morgan.

Earlier this month, Legal & General Investment Management said its assets under management rose from £371 billion ($591 billion) to £383 billion in the opening three months of the year. The firm recorded net inflows of £2.6 billion for the quarter, up from £2 billion for the same period last year.

The savings division of the Legal & General Group, formerly known as wealth management, boosted its assets to £68 billion from £65 billion in the three months to 31 March.
