Brewin Dolphin Hires Four For New Office

Brewin Dolphin has lured a team of four from the wealth and investment management division of Barclays ahead of launching a new office in Ipswich as part of its East Anglia expansion plans.

The team comprises Andrew Wheeler, Toby Sellers, Matthew Shields, and Nick Barber. Wheeler and Sellers will join Brewin in October after a six-month notice period, while Shields will join in July and Barber in May. They will be working from a temporary office over the summer before being installed in a permanent base in September, the firm said.

With the launch of the new office, Brewin’s network will reach 42 branches.

In other recent hires at the firm, last month Brewin boosted its Bristol office with the hire of Jonathan Godfrey and Charles Caton, who joined from Barclays’ wealth division and Rathbones respectively.

The Brewin Dolphin Group manages £24 billion ($38 billion) in client assets, £15.6 billion of which is run on a discretionary basis.
