Harneys Makes Senior Cayman Islands, London Appointments
The offshore law firm operates from a range of jurisdictions.
Offshore law firm Harneys has appointed Carolynn
Vivian as its Cayman Islands’ office managing partner
and Richard Reid as chief people officer, based in
London.
The appointments are effective 1 April 2024. A few weeks ago,
Vivian's promotion to partner was announced here.
Vivian will be taking over the role from Nick Hoffman, who
will now focus on his new role as global head of litigation,
insolvency, and restructuring. She has more than 20 years of
experience advising clients on all aspects of corporate and
regulatory law across numerous jurisdictions, including mergers
and acquisitions, finance, restructuring, and
licensing.
Reid (pictured below) joined the firm in 2022.
Before joining Harneys, Reid served in various senior roles in
the field of wellbeing and professional development, including
working as a psychological consultant, psychotherapist and
leadership coach to CEOs, entrepreneurs and high net worth
individuals.
In addition to these two appointments, the firm promoted Andrea
Moundi Savvides to global director of risk and compliance in
December last year. In January, Hoffman was appointed to his
aforementioned role; Claire Goldstein and Christopher Pease were
announced as co-heads of BVI Litigation; and Jonathan Addo was
appointed global head of contentious regulatory.
Harneys provides advice on British Virgin Islands, Cayman
Islands, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Bermuda and Anguilla law.
