Klay Group Adds Senior Figure In Singapore

The international wealth management group, which also provides corporate advisory and asset management, has added a senior team member, based in Singapore.
Klay Group,
a wealth management firm, has appointed Gaurav Gupta as
client advisor and managing director, based in Singapore.
Gupta will report to Arjun Anand, CEO for Asia-Pacific,
concentrating on ultra-high net worth clients across Asia on
portfolio construction and cross-border wealth strategies, Klay
said in a statement yesterday.
“His experience advising sophisticated clients across markets
will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our client
offering and expand globally,” Kalpesh Khakhria (pictured below),
chairman of Klay Group, said. (This news service
interviewed Khakhria last year in Dubai.)

Kalpesh Khakhria
Gupta brings more than 21 years’ experience across private
banking, investment advisory, and research. He has worked with
UHNW individuals, family offices, and corporates across Southeast
Asia, the Middle East, and the UK. Most recently, he was an
executive director at Nomura.
Klay Group has offices in Dubai, India, Singapore, London, and
Australia. Since inception, it has worked with more than 450
families.
The firm mostly segments clients based on their needs and
complexity, rather than purely on how much investment they have.
It operates across four pillars: wealth management (working with
individuals with roughly $5 to 25 million to invest, such as
C-suite figures and entrepreneurs who may not need a full family
office); multi-family office service (families and single-family
offices typically in the $25 million to $2 billion range);
corporate advisory (business owners regarding their financing,
capital structure and strategic transactions), and asset
management (working with families and institutions to provide
private-label funds from $500 million to $5 billion, or to
provide access to specialised strategies and structured
solutions).
