Schroders Appoints Ex-Amazon Media Boss To Board

The London-headquartered asset manager has welcomed another high-profile figure to its board.
Schroders has appointed Rakhi Goss-Custard as a non-executive director of its board and nominations committee, with effect from 1 January 2017.
Goss-Custard brings expertise in digital retailing, having spent 11 years at Amazon.com. Most recently she was director, UK media at Amazon, responsible for ranges including books, music and DVDs. She was previously responsible for Amazon's home, garden and DIY product ranges. Before Amazon, Rakhi held roles at TomTom and in management consultancy in the US.
She is a non-executive director of Kingfisher, Rightmove, Intu Properties and London-listed Be Heard.
"Rakhi's experience in the digital world through her work at Amazon and, more recently through her experience as a non-executive director on other boards, will be highly relevant as digital has an increasingly important impact on the asset management industry," said Michael Dobson, chairman of Schroders.
Earlier this month, Schroders announced BAE Systems’ chief executive, Ian King, was joining its board, also as a non-executive director.
