Citi Wealth has
appointed Michael Yannell as the head of hedge funds for
investment solutions.
Yannell rejoined the US bank in 2019, working in its hedge fund business and building a platform of diversifying and directional offerings for Citi Wealth clients.
"Mike’s leadership in recent months as the interim head of the business has been invaluable," according to a memo seen by this news service and confirmed by a Citigroup spokesperson.
Yannell has more than 20 years’ experience within the alternative investments area.
St James’s Place
St
James’s Place has appointed Chris Teschmacher (pictured) as
director of the CIO office. He will be joining later in July.
Teschmacher will work with Justin Onuekwusi chief investment officer to help lead development of SJP’s investment business, supporting governance, investment processes and the continued evolution of the firm’s investment proposition. He will also lead the development and delivery of the firm’s investment offering.
With nearly two decades in the industry, Teschmacher has experience across a range of asset classes and roles. Most recently, he was a fund manager and head of the asset allocation investment specialist team at Legal & General Asset Management.
His appointment follows that of several senior external hires made in SJP’s investment team this year: Lea Blinoff, director of investment solutions, Anu Sindwani, head of product specialists and Anthony McDonald, multi asset portfolio manager.
“I’m delighted to welcome Chris to the team at such an exciting time for the business and to have the opportunity to work together,” Onuekwusi said. “Drawing on his experience at L&G, Chris brings valuable knowledge and expertise that will strengthen the CIO office, support the continued development of our investment proposition and enhance how we engage with clients and partners.”
SJP has more than £216 billion ($287.04 billion) funds under management.
