ZEDRA Rebrands Acquired Jersey Trust Business

A Jersey-based trusts business acquired by Zedra in April has a new name.

ZEDRA, the trust, fiduciary, corporate and fund services firm, is rebranding Azure Trust Jersey, a business it bought in April, under its group brand.

Alan Tidy has been appointed executive director, corporate solutions for ZEDRA. Ashley Cox will continue to lead the group’s Jersey operations.

“This expanded business will enable us to accelerate our growth plans in Jersey and will provide clients with access to an even greater breadth and range of services, both in Jersey and elsewhere within the group. We are very much looking forward to growing our team still further as we deliver our growth objectives,” Cox said.

ZEDRA was launched at the start of this year when an independent investor group acquired a majority shareholding in the business from Barclays.

The firm employs more than 300 people. It recently opened an office in Hong Kong and has been interviewed by this news service here about its ambitions.

(Editor's note: Azure Hong Kong, a company the subject of recent controversy following the jailing for four years in 2015 of a tax expert, Deborah Annells, for multiple offences of fraud, has nothing to do with Azure Jersey – this is not the same company , same group or same shareholder.)
