JP Morgan Asset Management has confirmed that fund manager Neill Nuttall is stepping down after 30 years at the company to pursue other opportunities.

Nuttall is co-manager of the JP Morgan Income and Growth trust and previously headed the Global Multi-Asset Group as well as leading the AMS Global Strategy team.

The JP Morgan Income and Growth Investment Trust will now be co-managed by James Elliot, chief investment officer of the manager’s asset management solutions team in Europe and Asia, and Katy Thorneycroft, senior manager in the AMS team, JP Morgan said in a statement.

Management of the UK equities component of the trust will remain with Sarah Emly and John Baker, JP Morgan said.

Nuttall joined JP Morgan Asset Management in 1984, working for Jardine Fleming in Asia in roles in currency, Asian fixed income and convertibles, and managing multi-asset portfolios.

In other news, JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Andrea Hohlachoff as head of insurance and platforms within the global strategic relationships management team of UK Funds Sales, reporting to Andrew Larkin, head of global strategic relationships.
