Julius Baer Appoints Ex BoS Manager As Southeast Asia Market Head

The newly-appointed figure, who is based in Singapore, was previously a market head for Indonesia.
Julius Baer has
appointed former Bank of Singapore senior manager Nira Tanoko
(main picture) as market head for Southeast Asia.
Based in Singapore, Tanoko will report to Jimmy Lee, member of
the global wealth management committee and region head for Asia.
She will oversee her teams serving high and ultra-high net worth
clients.
At Bank of Singapore, Tanoko, who was market head,
Indonesia, worked in wealth management for more than 20
years.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Julius Baer’s presence in
Singapore and Hong Kong.
Earlier this week, Julius Baer (Middle East) Ltd, signed a
strategic agreement with the Dubai Department of Economy and
Tourism (DET). The pact is designed to use the bank’s
international network and support international investors,
business owners and family offices to establish and
expand their presence in Dubai.
As stated last week, Julius Baer reported a net profit on an IFRS
basis of SFr673 million ($831 million), a record, for the first
half of this year. That figure rose 128 per cent year-on-year.
Assets under management rose 5 per cent over the year-to-date,
reaching a record SFr547 billion.
