Adam & Co. Hires Two New Office Heads

Adam & Company, the Scottish private bank, has appointed Alisdair Dewar as head of the Edinburgh office and Ian Massie as head of the Aberdeen unit.

The pair will assume responsibility for the day-to-day running of the two office locations immediately and will report to Kerry Falconer, managing director of relationship management.

Dewar joined Adam & Company in 1999, becoming a director in 2009 and managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, as well as leading a team of relationship managers. Prior to this, he spent two years with RBS.

Massie joined Adam in 2011 as an associate director to manage private client portfolios across Aberdeenshire. Prior to this, he served with Bank of Scotland Corporate Real Estate as a relationship manager with a focus on high-net-worth residential and commercial property clients. Massie also spent 27 years working in a variety of roles within HBOS, latterly as a senior relationship manager.

Adam & Company is a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland, as well as a sister-company to Coutts, and is headquartered in Edinburgh. As of October 2013, the firm has over £1.25 billion ($2.03 billion) of private client funds under management.
