New York- and Chicago-headquartered Guggenheim Partners has launched Guggenheim International - a new unit dedicated to building cross-border strategic partnerships and providing solutions to sovereign, institutional, corporate, and high net worth clients worldwide.

Mark Medish, a former US Treasury and White House official with experience in international and emerging markets, is president of the new division, while Steven Green serves as chairman, and Daniel Lucich - former deputy assistant secretary for international trade and investment in the US Treasury Department - acts as a senior advisor.

Medish, Green and Lucich will be supported in their roles by an advisory board comprising financial, industrial, regional, and policy specialists, the firm said in a statement.

Based in Miami, Green is currently chief executive of K1 Ventures, as well as a member of Guggenheim Partners' executive committee.
