Senior Standard Chartered Figure Takes Up Dubai-Based Role

One of the bank's senior figures is moving to a Dubai-based role.

Standard Chartered has appointed Richard Pattle as senior advisor for its private bank, based in Dubai.

Pattle, who takes up the post on 1 March, will report to Tracy Clarke, regional chief executive for Europe and Americas at Standard Chartered, it said yesterday.

Prior to this, Pattle was with the Standard Chartered group until last March as vice chairman of the private bank.

Among recent developments affecting Standard Chartered, the UK-listed bank, which earns the bulk of its revenues in Asia, the Indian sub-continent and Africa, announced a strategic partnership with China's Fosun Group.
