A team of bankers serving non-Korea-domiciled Korea clients out of Hong Kong is leaving Julius Baer to join an external asset manager as partners in the business, this publication can confirm.

The team is lead by Y J Kim.

The move would well mean that Julius Baer will continue to service these specific offshore Korean clients as the external asset management firm may continue to use Julius Baer’s platform, this publication understands. At this stage it was unable to confirm the name of the external asset manager or obtain further details. Julius Baer declined to comment.
