Kames Capital, the UK-based investment house, has continued a run of hires by appointing Mark Benbow, formerly of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, to its fixed income team.
Benbow joins as an investment analyst and will be working with the high yield part of the fixed income team. In the new role, Benbow reports to Phil Milburn, the co-manager of the Kames High Yield Bond Fund and the Kames High Yield Global Bond Fund, Kames Capital said in a statement.
At SWIP – now owned by UK-listed Aberdeen Asset Management – Benbow was an analyst at the global equities team, responsible for global telecoms research.
The hire follows last week’s announcement that Kames Capital has appointed Stephen Adams as head of equities. It also appointed Luc Simoncini as a product specialist; he was previously at Dublin-based Mediolanum International Funds.
