JP Morgan Appoints New Client Portfolio Management Team Head
JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Malcolm Smith as the new head of the client portfolio management team.

Asset Management has appointed Malcolm Smith as the new head
of the client portfolio management team. The group includes both
JP Morgan’s behavioural finance and research-driven European
equity investment teams.
Smith will lead a team of eight client portfolio managers and
investor specialists in London, and report to Michael Barakos,
chief investment officer – Europe equities (behavioural finance
process). Smith will be responsible for leading client
relationship development and managing the communication of
investment strategy, performance and market outlook to existing
and potential clients.
Replacing previous CPM head Karsten Stroh, who is relocating to
Frankfurt, Smith joins from BlackRock, where he was previously a
managing director and product strategist in BlackRock’s
fundamental equity business.
One of the largest firms of its kind, JP Morgan Asset Management
had a total of $1.6 trillion of assets as at the end of March
this year.
