Sydney Investment Manager Expands Senior Management Team

Redpoint Investment Management, the Sydney-based firm that is minority-owned by National Australia Bank, has expanded its investment team with the appointment of three senior officers.

Redpoint Investment Management, the Sydney-based firm that is minority-owned by National Australia Bank, has expanded its investment team with the appointment of three senior officers.

Max Cappetta and Anthony Corr have been named investment directors, while Kheng Kua is to assume the role of chief technology officer. All three join Redpoint from Continuum Capital, a boutique quantitative equity firm in Sydney, where Cappetta and Corr were co-founders and Kua held a combined investment analyst and technology position.

The appointments are aligned with the firm's expansion strategy, with additional personnel allowing it to fast-track the launch of new active equity products, including the continuation of the 2.5-year-old Australian equity capability, said the firm in a statement.

Redpoint Investment Management was founded in late 2011 and specialises in Australian equities, international equities, global infrastructure and global property. nabInvest, the wholly-owned subsidiary of National Australia Bank, took a non-controlling interest in the firm at around the same time.
