Brewin Dolphin To Close Scottish Branch

UK-listed Brewin Dolphin is to close its Dumfries office in Scotland, transferring divisional director Gordon McKerrow and investment manager Stuart Wood to its Penrith branch, WealthBriefing can confirm.

It is understood that McKerrow and Wood will work with the seven-strong team at Penrith, which is led by Peter Martin.

The firm declined to comment on the rationale behind the move when contact by this publication.

In other recent news, last week Brewin opened its previously-announced new office in Ipswich, bringing its total number of branches to 42.
