RBS Appoints Head Of Wealth Solutions For India
The Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed
Prateek Pant as head of wealth solutions at its private
banking business in India.
Pant comes to the firm with 14 years of financial services
experience and was most recently the head of retail advisory at
Franklin Templeton Investments, India. In his new Mumbai-based
role, he will be overseeing a team of staff comprising investment
strategists, investment advisors, and product managers. He
reports to
Shiv Gupta, head of RBS's private banking unit.
This latest appointment builds on the launch of RBS's new
investment proposition in 2009, which introduced an upgraded
suite of services that cater to high net worth worth individuals
in the country.
"We will continue to strengthen the product and functional core
of the business as we grow our staff base and assets under
management over the next four to five years," Gupta
said in a statement.
RBS Private Banking India was previously known as ABN Amro
Private Clients until it was renamed following RBS's acquisition
of ABN Amro in 2007.
