Succession Wealth Names New Head Of M&A

Succession Wealth makes senior hire, as part of its growth plan after Aviva bought it last year.

UK wealth management and financial planning group Succession Wealth has appointed Daniel Jones (pictured) as head of mergers and acquisitions.

Jones will be a member of the firm’s senior leadership team, shaping and executing Succession Wealth’s M&A strategy while overseeing all M&A activity, from origination to closure, including due diligence. He will report to Steve Willis, group finance director at Succession Wealth, the firm said in a statement.

He is joining from PwC’s Financial Services Advisory team, where he led the team’s wealth management advisory offering, working with clients on both the buy and sell side. Before joining PwC, Daniel ran his own brokerage for over four years and, prior to that, advised wealth management firms at one of the UK’s leading sell side brokers, the firm added.

His appointment strengthens the senior management team at Succession Wealth, as the firm continues to grow since Aviva purchased it last year. Other recent appointments include Dawn Buckingham as group operations director, and Chris Truman as chief technology officer, subject to regulatory approval. See here.

“Daniel will bring expertise and additional capacity to continue to deliver our M&A strategy, which remains judicious in pursuing opportunities where we believe there is genuine strategic value for both parties," James Stevenson, Succession Wealth CEO, said.
