Nordea AM Names New Fixed Income, Equities CIO
The Nordic asset manager, part of the Scandinavian Nordea Group, makes senior hire.
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) has appointed Kasper Elmgreen as chief investment officer of fixed income and equities.
Based in Copenhagen, Elmgreen will be responsible for the group’s fixed income and equity boutiques, as well as NAM’s responsible investments team, the firm said in a statement. He is also a member of NAM’s senior executive committee.
Elmgreen is returning to NAM from the European asset manager Amundi, where he had been head of equities and a member of the global investment committee since 2019.
Elmgreen has more than a decade of experience managing and leading investment teams, the firm continued. He has a track record in providing guidance to investment boutiques and teams, as well as an understanding of ESG investing.
“Not only does he bring deep-rooted investment and ESG insights, but also strong leadership skills from extensive experience in leading investment teams,” Nils Bolmstrand, NAM CEO said
Nordea AM, which focuses on sustainable and responsible investing, is present across Europe, as well as in New York and Singapore.
