What’s New In Investments, Funds? – Schroders, Legal & General AM, WisdomTree

The latest news in investment offerings, financial products and other services relevant to wealth advisors and their clients.

Schroders
Schroders has received regulatory approval this week for its first tokenised share class of a US dollar money market fund, representing a milestone for the firm's development of digital investment solutions for its clients.

Schroders has secured the green light from the Central Bank of Ireland to launch the fund with a tokenised share class (SOAR: Schroders Onchain Active Returns), meeting growing client demand for digital asset solutions and enhanced operational efficiency.

The Ireland-domiciled fund will draw on the experience of Neil Sutherland, head of US fixed income and portfolio manager at Schroders, as well a range of credit specialists.

With the support of Kinexys by JP Morgan’s multi-chain asset tokenisation platform, clients will be able to use smart contracts to execute secure and transparent transactions, namely redemptions and transfers. (Smart contracts are programmes deployed on a blockchain that execute automatically when set conditions are met,) This enhances the mobility of the money market fund beyond traditional systems, enabling transfers amongst Schroders’ clients and unlocking potential future use cases such as collateralisation and broader 24/7 treasury and liquidity management.

“Tokenised financial infrastructure is no longer theoretical; it’s restructuring liquidity, settlement and digital asset workflows at increasing speed. As demand for tokenised assets grows, tokenised money market funds can help meet investor needs while introducing new features enabled by blockchain technology,” Kara Kennedy, global head of market development, Kinexys by JP Morgan said.

Legal & General Asset Management
Legal & General Asset Management (L&G) has launched the L&G LSF African Government Bond (USD) UCITS ETF, with initial co-seeding provided by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) through its MOBILIST programme. The fund’s launch represents a partnership between a global asset manager and a development finance programme, creating a route for investors to access African sovereign debt through public markets. This is the first time that the FCDO has seeded an exchange traded fund (ETF), the firm said in a statement.

The fund aims to track the performance of the iBoxx LSF USD African Sovereigns Index, which was launched in 2024; it includes both investment grade and sub-investment grade bonds. The fund’s approach will provide in-built diversification within African sovereign bonds, with explicit country caps/floor and eligibility rules seeking to manage concentration risk. It will focus on countries defined as eligible by the Liquidity and Sustainability Facility (LSF) under its framework for secondary market operations.

Through the combination of a recognised index, a listed investment vehicle, and institutional capital, the initiative is designed to broaden investor participation in African sovereign bond markets by providing exposure to dollar-denominated fixed rate and/or zero coupon bonds issued by sovereign issuers.

Atlantic House, WisdomTree
Atlantic House, a London-based active manager specialising in defined outcome and derivatives-driven investment strategies, has announced that it will officially rebrand as WisdomTree from 1 September 2026. This marks the next stage in its integration following WisdomTree’s acquisition of the firm in May this year.

Atlantic House will adopt the WisdomTree name and brand identity, with client communications, marketing materials, fund names and fund literature assuming the WisdomTree brand, the firm said in a statement. The rebrand will not affect underlying legal entities, and the Albemarle Street Partners brand will remain unchanged.

The Atlantic House website will be integrated into wisdomtree.com, where clients will have access to information on the firm's funds, capabilities, insights and educational content.

"A key benefit of this integration is the combination of our specialist expertise in derivatives-based investment strategies with WisdomTree's global reach, scale, and resources. This creates a stronger platform from which to widen our investment offering and deepen client relationships,” Tom May, global CIO, Outcome and Derivative Strategies, WisdomTree, said.
