Private Client Challenges Under Spotlight In Forthcoming Monaco Conference

This news service will be reporting from a forthcoming Monaco-based conference examining topics from tax structuring through to financing options for start-ups. The conference is on 20 April.
Figures from the private client and wealth management sectors
will join together in Monaco on 20 April to explore topics
ranging from the most suitable UHNW jurisdictions to how to part
with a “nightmare” client. The conference is hosted by
TrustConsult Group.
The conference, which takes place from noon midday through to the
evening, includes panels about managing tax residency in Monaco,
Switzerland and other select locations; protecting luxury assets
with different structures; financing options for startups; the
needs of NextGen clients, and finally, how to deal with
difficult clients.
Geopolitical turmoil and market volatility have put international
financial centres under a spotlight and underscored the value of
IFCs known for political, legal and economic stability.
Held at the Fairmont Hotel in the tiny European principality, the
conference kicks off with a welcome from Christian Bühlmann,
founder of TrustConsult, followed by the first of the
panels. David Bell, the founder and the managing director of
PCD Club, an international private wealth network, will give
the keynote address. Bell is a former wealth planner and
Chartered Accountant. During his 10-plus years in the
industry, he worked with Dixon Wilson, Merrill Lynch and Lombard
Odier. Since 2016, he has run PCD Club. He uses his
professional knowledge and industry contacts to moderate and host
content with leading firms in the sector.
Panellists are Cécile Civiale Vuillier, chief executive, group
head of private client, at TrustConsult; Daniel
Zappelli of Vafadar Sivilotti Zappelli (he is also former
Attorney General of the State and Canton of Geneva); Nicholas
Jacob, partner from Forsters in London, and Kyra Motley, private
wealth partner with Boodle Hatfield.
Other panellists are Tim Searle, chairman of Globaleye; Alex von
Stein, partner, Spencer Ship Monaco; Pascal Widmer, founding
partner at Alpana Ventures in Switzerland; Hanna Darrien, legal
and tax director from Monaco United Advisors MFO; Rudy
Capildeo, partner from Wedlake Bell, London; Gregoire Mure,
TrustConsult’s Luxembourg CEO and Patrice Sauro, executive
director at TrustConsult.
WealthBriefing will cover the conference and is pleased
to explore the finer details of the issues in play.
