The latest wealth management moves and appointments in the UK, rest of Europe, the Middle East and select international locations.
Argyll
London’s premium office provider to financial firms such as
wealth managers, Argyll, has appointed Philip
Symonds as investment director. Prior to this, he worked at
Addington Capital.
Symonds has more than 15 years of experience in the property industry. He worked for almost a decade at Addington Capital as an active investor and asset manager within the office, retail and residential UK markets. Prior to this, he worked at Anglo Irish Bank within real estate banking and, before that, qualified as a chartered surveyor at Cushman & Wakefield.
In April, Argyll announced a £27 million refurbishment programme for eight London offices.
Societe Generale
Societe
Generale has appointed Andrew Patey as UK head of cash equity
and execution in its global markets division, a business area
where he will develop work with hedge funds and UK asset
managers.
Patey is responsible for defining and implementing the sales strategy for UK clients, covering research, primary and execution services. He will be working closely with business leaders across Societe Generale’s global markets and investment banking divisions with a particular focus on developing the equities franchise with hedge funds and asset managers across the UK.
Prior to this, Patey co-led equity sales for EMEA at HSBC, and headed pan-European equity sales in the UK for UBS, working more than a decade at the latter bank. He has also worked at Goldman Sachs, Bear Steans and DLJ.
