Kleinwort Hires Three Senior Execs To Boost UK Operations

Kleinwort Hambros has tapped a senior private banker with strong Middle East experience and added two more in senior client-facing roles.
Kleinwort Hambros has announced the appointment of three senior hires this week. They will boost the firm's operations in London, Yorkshire and the Channel Islands.
Unni Chowallur has been appointed director, private banking in the “Key Client and International” segment and will join the firm’s ultra-high net worth team working with Middle East clients. Chowallur will be based in London and focus on the UK resident non-domestic and non-resident Indian market and similar segment activity in the UAE. He reports to head of key clients and international private banking, Rob Woodthorpe-Browne. Chowallur has spent two decades in private banking and asset management in the UK, Europe and India. He was most recently executive director at Standard Chartered private bank and before that a director with UBS AG.
Mark Sheerin has been appointed senior private banker, based in Yorkshire. He has joined from HSBC private bank, where he spent four years advising onshore domestic clients on their portfolios. He will report to Yorkshire head of office Richard Brown. Previously, he spent nine years with Seven Investment Management as a client advisor in London.
The third hire, Laythamm Malorey is joining as business development manager in the Channel Islands, where he will be responsible for developing and managing business introductions and intermediaries, reporting to head of private banking for Channel Islands, Thomas Cummins. Malorey has spent over 35 years in finance working for RBS, Barclays, and more recently at boutique investment houses.
