Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Brewin Dolphin, KPMG, Others

The latest moves in wealth management across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Brewin Dolphin
Brewin Dolphin has appointed Siobhan Boylan to its board as finance director; she is expected to take up the post early next year.

Boylan is chief financial officer of Legal & General Investment Management, a position she has held for the last five years. Prior to that, Boylan worked at Aviva for 12 years where she held several senior roles, including CFO of Aviva North America, and CFO of Aviva Investors from 2007 to 2011. Before Aviva, Siobhan worked for ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she qualified as an ACA.

KPMG
Big Four financial services firm KPMG has appointed Bill Packman as a wealth management partner.

He joins having spent four years at Nutmeg as chief operating officer and head of risk. Formerly, he was director of strategic reform at Australian bank Westpac, and additionally has held a number of senior roles at Barclays.

This hire follows that of Abhijit Rawal who joined the team as strategy partner earlier this year. 

Packman will work closely with Richard Clarke, head of wealth management and Tim West, head of wealth and asset management consulting.

Aviva Investors
Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has appointed Luca Dal Mas as senior multi-manager analyst and Joshua Biele as multi-manager analyst within its multi-manager research team. 

They are based in London and report to Isabel Emo Capodilista, head of multi-manager research.

Dal Mas joins Aviva Investors from Barings, where he managed multi-asset strategies across developed and emerging markets and a fund of hedge funds. Prior to this, he was at Darta Saving Life Ltd Dublin (Allianz Group) where he worked for four years as an assistant financial manager. Biele joins from Jupiter Asset Management where he was a product and client intelligence analyst.

The hires follow other recent appointments to the wider multi-asset team.   Kevin O’Nolan recently joined as multi-asset portfolio manager from Fidelity; Guillaume Paillat joined as multi-asset portfolio manager from First State Investments; and Patrick Bartholet, Katarina Cohrs and David Nowakowski all joined as multi-asset strategists.
