This publication exclusively reports on three new hires at the Swiss private bank’s international arm.

Julius Baer International has appointed Rupert Watkins and David Forrest as relationship managers and Sandhya Munsami as head of supervision.

Watkins, based in London, will focus on UK resident clients. He joins after five years with Barclays, where he was most recently part of the financial institutions team specialising in relationships with hedge fund managers, private equity partners and senior investment bankers. Before that, he was a relationship manager at Credit Suisse.

Forrest joins the Dublin-based team and will focus on Irish resident clients. He previously spent seven years in Davy’s private client division where he advised individuals, corporations and charities.

Munsami, based in London, spent the last eight years with Standard Chartered Private Bank, latterly as head of business controls and supervision in London. She has also previously worked at JP Morgan, F&C Investments, Barclays Private Bank and Nedbank.

All three will report to Rob Woodthorpe Browne, head of relationship management for the UK and Ireland.

“We are delighted to welcome such highly experienced professionals who will help us focus on Julius Baer’s growth in the UK and Ireland,” said David Durlacher, chief executive of Julius Baer UK and Ireland.

“The domestic opportunity remains key to our long-term strategy in both offices, and both Rupert and David bring a deep understanding of HNW and UHNW families in their respective markets. Sandhya further strengthens our supervision framework and front office leadership team in London. All three appointments underline our commitment to our UK and Irish clients.”
