The UK wealth management and private banking firm has made a senior appointment from HSBC.

Brown Shipley has appointed Phil Harris as client director within its Leeds office.

Harris joins after 12 years with HSBC, where he was most recently director and senior private banker.

“We have made significant progress with our growth plans in recent years and I am confident that with Phil’s added expertise we will continue to offer our clients a stellar service,” said Andrew Goodchild, head of Brown Shipley’s Leeds office.

The appointment follows that of Guy Healey, who joined the firm last month as its new head of private banking.

Brown Shipley also has offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Nottingham. Its offering for high net worth clients includes investment and fund management, self-administered pension schemes, estate planning and banking services.
