Bank of East Asia Opens New Branch In China

Bank of East Asia (China), the China-based subsidiary of Hong Kong-headquartered Bank of East Asia, has opened a new branch in Jinan, Shangdong Province, bringing its total network on the Mainland to 119 outlets.

Jinan is one of the country's major administrative, economic and transportation centres. The new branch will provide comprehensive Renminbi and foreign currency banking services to all clients, including account and deposits, loans, derivatives, credit cards and overseas investment, among others.

It is led by Ma Jinyu as general manager.

Bank of East Asia is the largest local bank in Hong Kong with total consolidated assets of HK$692.1 billion ($89.3 billion) as of 31 December 2012. It has over 230 outlets worldwide.
