Jupiter Fund Gains New Lead Manager
UK-listed
Jupiter has promoted Mike Buhl-Nielsen to lead manager of the
Jupiter Europa Sicav fund, after him having worked as deputy
manager since 2011.
Buhl-Nielsen adopted his new role on 1 May, and took over the
present deputy manager Stephen Pearson, who is also the firm’s
deputy chief investment officer.
The duo have worked closely together since Buhl-Nielsen joined
Jupiter in 2006 as a European hedge fund analyst, providing
Pearson with analytical and fund management support. Prior to
this, Buhl-Nielsen worked at Centaurus Capital and Credit Suisse
as a special situations analyst.
The Jupiter European Absolute Return SICAV was launched in 2010
but a year later changed its name to the Jupiter Europa SICAV
when assets of the Jupiter Europa Hedge Fund were merged into the
SICAV.
Since the merger the SICAV has delivered 12.7 per cent against
0.9 per cent for the 3 month Euribor benchmark.
