UK-Based Accountancy Firm Poaches RSM Tenon Partner

Accountancy firm Saffery Champness has appointed Alistair Hunt as a partner, based in the firm’s Peterborough office. He will work alongside head of the Peterborough office Stephen Collins, and fellow partner Jane Hill.

Hunt’s work includes business planning, due diligence, risk management and corporate governance. He also advises a wide range of owner-managed businesses, corporate clients and partnerships, particularly legal practices, across the East Midlands, taking responsibility for all audit, tax and advisory services.

He joins from RSM Tenon, where he was partner and headed up the East Midlands accounts and audit department, overseeing almost 100 staff. Hunt has also previously been head of compliance at the firm, and also held the position of chairman of Tenon Audit.

In other recent developments, last month senior managers Robert Langston, Roger Wareham and Jonathan Davis were promoted to partnership across Saffery Champness’ UK offices.

The firm now has 61 UK partners and more than 400 staff, with nine offices on the UK mainland and offices in Guernsey, Geneva and Zurich. It has worldwide associations in more than 100 countries through the global association Nexia International.
