UK's Towry Expands Team With Five More Advisors

Towry, the UK-based wealth manager, has appointed a manager and five further wealth advisors to its personal injury and clinical negligence team, as the firm continues it expansion plans.

The team will be headed by Duncan Gregory, wealth advice manager of Towry’s Manchester office and a chartered financial planner with 23 years experience in the financial services industry.

Stephen Farnfield, Greg Mackie, Paul Sayers, Craig Barraclough and Carol Stanger will join the team, which now has 11 members.

In further news, Towry has also appointed wealth adviser Monica Harrison to its Manchester office.

She joins from Wesleyan Assurance Society, where she spent the last six years in the medical sickness division. At Wesleyan, her role included providing financial advice to hospital doctors throughout Lancashire.

Before that, she held roles as a financial advisor at Alliance & Leicester, Royal & Sun Alliance, Royal London Insurance and Abbey National. She also holds a diploma in financial planning and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Insurance.

In other recent developments, earlier this month Towry said it saw an increase of 6.5 per cent in discretionary assets under management in 2012. At the end of the year, the firm’s AuM stood at £4.8 billion (around $7.3 billion).
