UK’s Signia Wealth Confirms Hire Of Former Schroders CEO
The UK-based wealth management group Signia Wealth has confirmed the appointment of Rupert Robinson, former chief executive of Schroders UK Private Bank, as head of wealth management.
Robinson’s appointment was first reported by various media outlets, WealthBriefing included, in late November, at which point Signia declined to comment.
Robinson, who is based at the firm’s London office, works alongside Nathalie Dauriac-Stoebe, the wealth manager’s founder and chief executive, as well as working closely with Gautam Batra, Signia’s chief investment officer, to develop the firm's investment policy.
Before joining Signia, Robinson was chief executive officer at Schroders private bank in London and a member of the group's private banking executive committee.
Robinson joined Schroders in 2002 as managing director and head of investments within private banking after Schroders acquired the specialist wealth management business, Beaumont Capital. Before that, he worked for N M Rothschild & Sons for 17 years, where he was latterly head of UK wealth management responsible for asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
Signia Wealth now has £2 billion (around $3 billion) in assets under supervision.
