Sberbank Recruits Private Banking MD From UBS

Sberbank Private Banking has appointed Anna Tokaeva - latterly of UBS - as managing director, head of group.
Sberbank Private Banking, the newly-launched division of the Russian banking group Sberbank, has appointed Anna Tokaeva as managing director, head of group.
Tokaeva was latterly executive director/head of UBS Global Asset Management Russia and executive director of UBS Wealth Management’s Russian representative office, having held a number of other management roles during her twelve-year tenure with the Swiss banking giant. She has an extensive track record of working with major institutional and private clients in Russia, the US and Europe, Sberbank said in a statement.
In her new role Tokaeva will be both developing the private banking business and servicing major clients. She reports to Elena Shilina, head of private banking and advisor to one of the deputy chairmen of the management board of Sberbank.
Over the summer Sberbank boosted its private banking team with three new hires. Julia Petrova joined as head of lifestyle, a role incorporating responsibilities for analysing client needs, developing strategy and widening the product offering for private banking clients with regards to lifestyle services like sourcing schools and real estate. She was latterly managing director of private banking at NOMOS-BANK.
Alexei Dolgikh and Igor Prokhaev, meanwhile, were appointed as vice presidents and group heads. They both moved over from Troika Dialog’s global markets department, where they had served as sales managers in the equity division.
Sberbank joined forces with Troika Dialog to create the country's largest universal banking institution at the start of the year.
