Signia Wealth Boosts Private Equity Unit With Hire From UBS

Signia Wealth, the London-headquartered boutique focused on ultra high net worth individuals, has bolstered its private equity division with the appointment of Ana María Harrison as a managing director.

Harrison was latterly executive director in global wealth management private equity at UBS. She was with the Swiss banking giant since 2007 and was responsible for UK client distribution covering 175 advisors, 580 clients and some $1 billion of commitments in 29 private equity feeder vehicles.

Before joining UBS Harrison was head of global aftersales product management for alternative investments at Citi Private Bank.

In her new role within Signia’s private equity unit Harrison will be alongside director Spencer Moulton.

Signia, which launched in March 2010, has made several high profile hires this year. In May Ameet Patel, latterly a managing director at AlphaOne Partners, was named as head of alternative investments. The same month saw the firm hire Sonjoy Phukan as managing director, recruiting him from the wealth and investment management division of Barclays.

Signia Wealth now has $2 billion ($3.2 billion) in assets under supervision.
