EXCLUSIVE: Credit Suisse Makes Top-Level UHNW Appointment

Credit Suisse has named the head of its UHNW business for the UK and international market segment area.
Credit Suisse has appointed Matthew Haimes as head of its ultra high net worth segment, market area UK/international, this publication can exclusively report.
Haimes will take up the role on 20 November, reporting to Blake Shorthouse, head of the UHNW business in the EMEA region, and Erich Pfister, head of market area UK/international.
He joins from JP Morgan Private Bank, where he was UK head of family office solutions in the financial sponsors team. Before that he was at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley, holding the same position at both firms, that of EMEA head of consumer sector within the corporate finance unit.
Haimes will work with other Credit Suisse UHNW worth teams across Western Europe.
He is replacing Ian Dembinski, who has been appointed as head of UK domestic clients. He fills a role vacated by Paul Sarosy, who left the firm in May, later joining Coutts as head of investment solutions.
