Head Over To Chelsea For A Charitable Feast Of Top-Class Cricket

The beastly British summer – sorry, there is no other way of stating it – may have put a dampener on some of the traditional events of this time of the year, but there are plenty of reasons to head outdoors to witness a very fine sporting occasion at the end of June.

Throgmorton, specialists in financial and administrative outsourcing to hedge fund and private equity managers, has organised its second cricket challenge and garden Party, sending the proceeds to the youth sports charity, The Lord’s Taverners.

The event will take place on Wednesday 27th June, at the Royal Hospital Ground, Chelsea in partnership with Capital Support, Howden Group, Tibra Capital, Robert Quinn Consulting and HFM Week.

The event hosts four teams, each captained by a cricketing legend. Competing in and attending the event are a number of former international greats including Courtney Walsh, Jeff Thomson, Gladstone Small, Andrew Hall, John Emburey, Ian Harvey, Paul Nixon, and Ebony Rainford-Brent.

At 5 o’clock, guests are invited to Burton Court for the final game, canapés and cocktails and entertainment from the Mark Butcher Band.

Even if you are baffled by the laws of cricket, this looks like a fine event. Fingers are crossed for good weather.
