London Law Firm Hires Two Industry Veterans

Berkeley Law, a London-based law firm specialising in wealth advice for high net worth individuals in the UK, has added industry veterans Carly Russell and Jacqui McCoy to its 24-strong team.

Russell joins from PwC Legal, where she was the founder and senior member of the private client team. In her 15 years in the business, she has amassed experience in a range of private wealth issues including international tax planning and wealth structuring, charities and philanthropy, mental capacity issues and international probates, Berkeley Law said in a statement.

McCoy, meanwhile, joins Berkeley Law from Pemberton Greenish, having worked with residential real estate transactions for over 20 years. Her particular areas of expertise are dealing with purchases and sales through offshore structures and complex London leasehold transactions with enfranchisement involvement.

Nick Rucker, partner at Berkeley Law, said in a statement that the hires will help the firm in its aim of becoming a premier wealth advisory firm on the international stage. The firm was launched just over a year ago.
