Recruiter Develops Wealth Management Practice With New Head

Allemby Hunt, the UK-based executive search firm, has recruited Lyssa Barber as managing consultant and head of private wealth management in a move to boost this side of its business, according to media reports. She joins from Lockwood Gibb & Associates.

Barber is described as having “extensive experience” and has specialised in wealth and investment management recruitment.

“After two years of challenging times during the recession, when many banks went through significant re-evaluation and restructure, the wealth management sector is now demonstrating nascent optimism with positive, yet cautious growth plans in place for 2012, both in the UK and further afield,” she is quoted as having said.

“Her arrival to head up a new business area for Allemby Hunt marks a further milestone in the development of the company. Our new private wealth business will be focusing on opportunities across Europe and the Middle East and complements the service we already offer our client base,” said Alastair Johnstone, chief executive of Allemby Hunt.

Allemby Hunt was founded in 1999, and is based in London, with offices in locations including the Middle East.
