Standard Bank Offshore Names New CRO

Standard Bank Offshore has named Mark Hucker as its new chief risk officer, charged with developing and maintaining a risk management framework for the group’s operations across Jersey, the Isle of Man and Mauritius. He will be based in Jersey.

Hucker latterly worked at Key Trust, an independent Jersey-based trust company, where he was managing director. Prior to this role he spent six years with Ermitage Asset Management Jersey as chief operating officer and then as managing director of strategy and operations.

In January the firm strengthened its private client offering with the appointment of John Hall as head of IFA distribution in the Isle of Man.

Standard Bank Group has assets under management totalling around $162 billion (as at December 2010).
