Adam & Co, the Edinburgh-based sister bank to Coutts, has continued a recent recruitment drive with the hire of Michael Gifford as an investment director.

During his career Gifford has managed both fixed income and equity portfolios at the likes of Old Mutual, F&C and Canada Life. In his new role he will be helping Adam & Co’s London office grow its assets under management, as well as portfolio management, the bank said in a statement.

Back in January the bank added Simon Murphy, Stuart Dickson, and Ken Wilson to its investment team in Glasgow, while Anna Croze joined in Edinburgh.

In December last year, Adam & Co – which is part of Royal Bank of Scotland – named Graham Storrie as its new managing director.
