The London law firm Mishcon de Reya has teamed up with the luxury lifestyle firm Quintessentially to launch a new 24-hour concierge service for high net worth clients.

The service is intended to cover the full spectrum of clients’ needs, from securing access to exclusive venues to providing information like details of the good schools in a new area, Mishcon de Reya said, adding that it is the first law firm in the UK to enter into a partnership of this kind.

“At Mishcon, we often talk about our client relationships extending beyond that of legal advisor, that we care beyond the call of duty and that we make our client's problems our own. We believe that the launch of our global concierge service proves that we mean it,” said Elliot Moss, the firm’s director of business development.

The joint venture between Mishcon de Reya and Quintessentially continues a growing trend of private client firms venturing into concierge-type services, cogniscant that while HNW individuals may be cash-rich they are inevitably time-poor. The range of services being amalgamated into firms’ offerings vary widely from lifestyle assistance to having staff on-hand to advise on esoteric areas such as collectibles.

In one such recent example, back in September Geneva’s Reyl Private Office hired art market specialist Françoise Adam to develop a range of services related to art and art collection management. The new art services are intended to both complement the firm’s lifestyle concierge services offering and its core activities such as estate and tax planning.
