EFG Bank, Swiss private banking group EFG International’s business in Hong Kong, has recruited Adeline Chien to focus on the Greater China Region. She joins as a managing director and senior client relationship officer, with a two-member team including one CRO.

Most recently, Chien was a managing director and cluster head, UHNW team, at UBS Wealth Management in Hong Kong. From 2004 to 2008, she was an executive director and client advisor at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management, also in Hong Kong. She has also held senior private banking roles in American Express Private Bank and Citi Private Bank.

EFG says it is committed to becoming a leader in Asian private banking and has ambitious plans for the region. Across the region, it has about 500 employees, including over 160 CROs, up 40 per cent since the start of 2008.
