Centre For Islamic Studies Hires Family Office CEO

Abdulmohsin Al Omran, the founder and chief executive of Bahrain-headquartered The Family Office Company, has been appointed to the investment advisory committee of the trustees of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, an independent centre of the University of Oxford dedicated to the study of the culture of Islam.

Prior to founding The Family Office, Al Omran was executive director of Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management business in London.

“University endowments face many of the same challenges as the prominent merchant families and institutes that we serve in our firm,” said Al Omran. “While seeking sustainable growth over the long term, it is important to be ever-aware of the risks that invested asset classes inherently hold.”
