Reyl & Cie, Geneva-based private banking and fund management firm, has appointed Nicolas Duchêne as the new managing director of Reyl Private Office.

Mr Duchêne, a specialist in international legal, tax and finance matters, has worked in Paris, Luxemburg, Geneva, Monaco, Hong Kong and Singapore, the firm said in a statement.

Mr Duchêne was most recently with BNP Paribas Private Banking having joined the Paris-based firm in 2004; he managed its tax advising and international estate planning business in Asia between 2007-2009.

Reyl said it is focusing on clients’ changing behaviours and extending solutions for ultra high net worth clients. According to François Reyl, chief executive officer Reyl Group, the firm is adapting its offerings to fit with clients’ increasingly global requirements.

“Our clients are becoming increasingly mobile, dividing their time across multiple jurisdictions, with their businesses often forming the foundation of their wealth. By adopting a global approach to our clients’ business, including careful management of the legal and fiscal aspects, we’re ensuring the long-term future of this business, as well as the preservation of our clients’ own wealth,” he said.
