The Standard Chartered Private Bank Boosts MENA Desk
The Standard Chartered Private Bank has appointed Ali Khalid as director-private clients on its Middle East and North Africa desk, WealthBriefing can exclusively reveal.
Mr Khalid is believed to have previously worked as a client advisor at UBS up until the final months of last year.
In another recent hire, last week Standard Chartered Private Bank appointed Mark Jackman, the former head of Asia at Rothschild Private Banking & Trust, as head of its global trust and fiduciary business.
Based in Singapore, in his new role Mr Jackman will be responsible for Standard Chartered Private Bank’s trust companies in the Cayman Islands and Guernsey, and will also manage fiduciary specialists in a number of private banking locations worldwide. Reporting to Gary Tiernan, global head of relationship management, investment advisory and fiduciary, Mr Jackman is charged with developing the bank’s trust strategy, including driving its expansion plans into other locations.
