RBC Raids Wealth Structuring Specialist From Citi

RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada, has appointed Roberta Ruddy to its senior managers international solutions team.

Based in New York, Ms Ruddy will work with RBC’s network of advisors and relationship managers, as well as with external planners, in serving US and international clients, RBC said in a statement.

Ms Ruddy joins RBC Wealth Management from Citi Private Bank, where she was a global wealth structuring consultant in the bank’s international private banking division. In this role Ms Ruddy had a cross-border and multi-jurisdictional client focus, and was responsible for implementing wealth transfer and estate planning strategies for clients primarily in northern Latin America.

“Her [Ms Ruddy’s] depth and breadth of experience assisting US and international high net worth clients and their advisors in all aspects of wealth creation, preservation and transfer will be of great benefit to our clients and partners,” said Ralph Awrey, managing director, sales and business development for RBC Wealth Management, International Division.

Earlier this month RBC Wealth Management announced the appointment of Keith Pearse as head of human resources for its international arm. Mr Pearse was previously head of human resources for RBC Wealth Management in the British Isles; his new remit additionally covers continental Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada.
