UBS Expands UK Operations

The firm has been expanding its UK regional teams, with appointments including those in Scotland.
  UBS
Wealth Management has appointed Karan Sejpal as head of its
new London high net worth team. The firm has also appointed Simon
Pearson as head of North West, and Aidan Dunstan as head of North
East and Yorkshire, a newly-created role.

Sejpal was formerly head of North West and Yorkshire at UBS
  Wealth Management.

Pearson has been working with UBS Wealth Management’s clients in
the North West for the past five years. Dunstan has spent the
past 13 years with UBS Wealth Management and is currently head of
  North East.

The firm has expanded its UK operations over the last six months,
with the hires of Simeon Livesey from Coutts, Richard Wood from
Barclays and Oli York from Brewin Dolphin.

“Over the past few years, we have steadily refined our offering
for high net worth individuals and families to better enable them
to fulfil their wealth ambitions,” said Nick Tucker, head of UK
domestic. This resource commitment is bearing fruit and we take
tremendous pride in achieving growth milestones like we have
  today.

  In February, this publication
reported that UBS Wealth Management is looking to hire
younger relationship managers to bolster its operations in
Scotland and other regions across the UK.
