American Century Investments Expands European Sales Team
Missouri-headquartered asset management firm American Century Investments has expanded its European client relationship team with the appointment of Tom Douie as vice president at its London office.
Mr Douie joins the team for which Peter Brackett, Sigrid Johann and Ben Williams were recently appointed. The European client relationship team, which reports to Michael Green, senior vice president of international, will target financial intermediaries and institutional investors across UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Prior to joining American Century, Mr Douie was responsible for sales and marketing at boutique asset management firm Ferox Capital Management. He has also held the roles of head of European third party distribution at Lehman Brothers Asset Management and head of global private banking relationships at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
"Tom's experience and knowledge across a range of relevant sectors will complement the expertise of the existing team… we look forward to benefiting from his contribution to growing our non-US client base as we continue to develop our international distribution capability," said Mr Green.
Up until the launch of its London office in August last year, American Century had been a purely domestic player. The London office is initially focusing on delivering the firm’s equity growth strategies across global growth, emerging markets and US growth equity sectors; a range of UCITS III funds will be launched shortly to facilitate the marketing and sale of these strategies, the firm said.
Founded in 1958, American Century Investments has around $70 billion in assets under management.
